$100 Laptops and the Digital Divide

The digital divide is a difference that leads to some countries not being exposed to computer technology.

The $100 laptop project by MIT is a great way to cross that digital divide for those that want to.  It will be affordable, comparatively, and a fairly good investment for any educational system, however one should ensure that children continue to be trained in a variety of skills that would help for employment across the board rather than focusing solely on computer technology.

Great idea though, and I totally support it.
